Charity Event 19th - 23rd June.  Wear A Hat Day With Flowers for Brain Tumour Research 

UPDATE: Thank you very much to everyone who came into the shop to see us, donated online, or bought our Charity Bouquet, we raised a fantastic £180 for Brian Tumour Research.

As you can imagine the team at Booker Flowers and Gifts all love Flowers so we couldn't help but take part in the charity event Wear a Hat with Flowers Day to help raise much-needed money for Brain Tumour Research.

We have taken part in this charity event for the last three years, and it's always a brilliant fundraiser, so we have decided to do it again this year and all of our staff will be Wearing a Hat with Flowers starting the week commencing Monday 19th June until Friday 23rd June. 

Last year when we took part we raised an amazing £205, and £182.50 in 2021, and £150 in 2020.  This year we really hope we can match or beat the total we raised last year.

It is a very appropriate event for us to take part in, considering we have a large supply of flowers to hand in our Liverpool flower shop and some very artistic staff working here, who are sure to make brilliant hats with flowers on, which they will showcase all week. So pop into our shop on Booker Avenue from Monday 19th June until Friday 23rd June to see our wonderful floral creations. 

So how can you help our Wear a Hat with Flowers Event?

For this to work, we need you and there are a few ways in which you can help! 

You are invited into our shop (from 19th - 23rd June) to pose for a photo with us - all wearing flowery hats (photo will be used on social media) and if you would like to make a small donation (suggested £1) as a thank you we will enter you into our prize draw to win a Beautiful Bouquet.

If you can't visit the shop, you can visit our fundraising page online and make a donation to help us raise money for Brain Tumour Research.  Again as a thank you for donating, you will be entered into our prize draw to win a Beautiful Bouquet.

Alternatively, you can donate by buying our Wear a Hat With Flowers Handtied Bouquet in aid of Brain Tumour Research, which we have designed especially for the occasion and we will automatically donate £5 to Brain Tumour Research for every bouquet sold during June.

The Wear A Hat With Flowers Bouquet is a lovely mix of bright summery flowers, including spray roses, gerberas, carnations, alstroemeria, tanacetum and mixed seasonal foliages, all hand-arranged into a hand-tied bouquet, which can be delivered 7 days a week.  

We will all Wear a Hat with Flowers, to raise money for the Brain Tumour Research charity and you will see us in our flowery headgear either in the shop or on social media from Monday 19h June until Friday 23rd June.

All money raised will go directly to Brain Tumour Research.

Brain Tumour Research

Brain tumours can affect anyone, at any age. What is more, they kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer, and yet only 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease.

We are helping change this by taking part in Wear a Hat Day with Flowers and hope you will help too?

Last year we all had a fantastic week wearing our floral hats for charity and raised an amazing £205 for Brain Tumour Research.  

Thank you to everyone who supported this wonderful charity event and well done to Jenny who was selected at random from everyone who donated, and won a beautiful bouquet of flowers.
